Suguri Akamura is a character from the fanseries Mythical Mew Mew and one of the main protagonists and heroines of the series. She is the third of the Mew Mews to be introduced, her DNA is merged with a Honduran Spiny-Tailed Iguana.

Personality[]
Suguri has very little self control and is prone to verbally and physically lashing out at the people around her, resulting in most deciding to avoid her.
She tends to be very aggressive, pushing others around and practically forcing them to take her side in most situations. Suguri can also be overconfident, often pushing herself too hard or overestimating her abilities.
One thing she can't stand is being told what to do, as Suguri feels a strong need to be in control of her surroundings.

Suguri’s transformation begins with her kissing her Mew Pendant and declaring her metamorphosis. The next scene shows Suguri with her DNA morphing in the background. She then runs and jumps forward into a handspring, as her hands momentarily touch the ground a small flash of fire causes her gloves to appear. She then flips and twirls through the air as the fire covering her body forms her coat and shorts. Suguri lands on her feet as her boots appear, a blaze of fire reveals her choker, garters and pendant.
Weapon & Attack[]
Mew Currant's weapon is the Currant Axe (カラントアックス Karanto Akkusu), a red double-sided axe with dark red swirls near the pole, a golden bow with a pink heart on the middle is on the pole between the blades.
Other than slashing and beating, Mew Currant has a powerful attack to take down Chimera Animas. She calls out Ribbon Currant Burst! (リボンカラントバースト, Ribon Karanto Bāsuto). Mew Currant spins her axe, scraping the blade againt the ground and causing it to spark, she then hits her opponent, causing a small explosion.

Etymology[]
Suguri (すぐり) is the Japanese word for currant, a type of small berry that grows on bushes.
Akamura is made up of two kanji. Aka (赤), meaning 'red' and Mura (村), meaning 'village'
So Suguri Akamura translates to 'Currant Red Village'
