Heartcatch Returns! Pretty Cure is one of CureKanade's Pretty Cure Fandom. It is a new generation of Heartcatch Pretty Cure starring Tsubomi's younger sister, Hanasaki Futaba and her best friend Keikoku Hanami.
Plot
It had been fourteen years since Cure Blossom, Marine, Sunshine and Moonlight have defeated Desert Apostles. But now danger is once again lurking in the town of Kibougahana. A new evil group called Defect wants to freeze and turn the world into a desert and also destroy the Heart Tree! Two fairies have been sent to find the new generation of Heartcatch Cures to prevent the world from being taken over by Defect. The young fairy named Kaori found Tsubomi's younger sister Futaba and along the way they found Nioi who picks Futaba's best friend Hanami as a Pretty Cure. Now gathered, the two girls will fight to protect Kibougahana.

Pretty Cure
Hanasaki Futaba(花咲 双葉 Hanasaki Futaba)
Futaba is a fourteen year old girl who is a bit like her older sister. She is shy, smart but is very good at a few sports and did have some trouble getting used to being a Pretty Cure. Her theme colour is pink, and her alter ego is Cure Cherry (キュア チェリー Kyua Cherī). Her powers are related to all types of flowers, espically Cherry Blossoms.
Keikoku Hanami(渓谷 花見 Keikoku Hanami)
She is Futaba's best friend and classmate. She is a cheerful fourteen year old who loves sports and studying. Later in the series, she finds out she was Dark Cure and was born as a baby Hanami after Cure Moonlight defeated her. Her theme colour is blue, and her alter ego is Cure Lily (キュア リリー Kyua Rirī). Her powers are related to roses, daisies and water.
Mascots
Kaori(かおり Kaori)
Kaori is Futaba's companion. She is one of the two fairies sent down from the Tree of Hearts.
Nioi(ニオイ Nioi)
Nioi is Hanami's companion. He is another fairy from the Tree of Hearts.
Defect
Kekkan (欠陥 Kekkan)
Kekkan are the monsters used by the Defect commanders, created by fusing an object with the wilting Heart Flower of a person.
Samuke (寒気 Samuke)
The apparent leader of the Defect commanders. She trains a lot and is shown to be able to use a crossbow. She controls the power of ice.
Sunaarashi (砂嵐 Sunaarashi)
The first commander to appear. He holds the power of the desert.
Ichimi (一味 Ichimi)
The second commander to appear. He holds the power of wind.
Jakuten (弱点 Jakuten)
The leader of Defect.
Others
Hanasaki Tsubomi
Futaba's older sister. She has moved out of the house and lives with Erika but still visits from time to time. She used the leader of Heartcatch Pretty Cure called Cure Blossom. She now acts like a tutor towards her sister.
Items
Heart Perfumes - Perfume bottles used to transform.
Flower Tacts - Wand-type items used as weapons. The different types of Flower Tacts are named after their users; the Cherry Tact for Cure Cherry, the Lily Tact for Cure Lily.
Heart Pot - The item that the Heart Seeds are stored in.
Heart Seeds - They are born from cleansing people's Heart Flowers. They are stored in the Heart Pot. Some can be used for power-ups and calming the mind.
